Gravity Union is excited to be on the lookout for a People and Culture Coordinator. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position, onsite at our downtown Vancouver office Monday-Friday.  

About the opportunity

We are looking for someone who is passionate about building and fostering a warm, positive and engaging company culture. This role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating tasks related to our People and Culture function. You will work closely with the Vice President, who is accountable for People and Culture at Gravity Union.

As a People and Culture Coordinator, your day-to-day includes:

  • Supporting the recruitment and hiring process 

  • Supporting the onboarding of new employees  

  • Organizing and celebrating team events 

  • Scheduling and supporting team meetings 

  • Supporting other People and Culture functions, including maintaining staff information, regularly checking in with the team, and creating internal materials for meetings and our employee portal  

  • Providing administrative support to the CEO, Vice President, and other team members as necessary 

  • Performing office management tasks such as maintaining stock of office and kitchen supplies, checking the mail, and maintaining general office tidiness 

  • Assisting with financial administration tasks  

  • Coordinating travel arrangements for team members

Are you the one?

  • 1 – 2 years of Human Resources experience and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or equivalent

  • You are a people-person and you enjoy connecting with others

  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • You are resourceful and don’t stress out easily

  •  You’re adaptable and able to go with the flow when things change

  • You love to learn new things and learning excites you

  • You enjoy keeping up to date on the latest HR best practices

  • You know how to have fun!

  •   Passion for what technology can do to help empower and improve our lives

  • Working experience in a technical consulting environment

  • Strong writing and editing skills
