Business Development Coordinator
Full-time, Vancouver
Gravity Union is looking for our newest Business Development Coordinator! This is a full-time (40 hours/week), permanent position. This position is based onsite at our office in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
About the opportunity
At Gravity Union, we empower organizations to take control of their critical information with people-focused solutions. We’re looking for our newest Business Development Coordinator to join our growing Sales team. This role is responsible for supporting our team throughout all stages of the sales process, where you’ll be responsible for effectively representing Gravity Union and our services in all client interactions. You’ll pay a key role in driving business growth and operational excellence.

The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, but remains flexible depending on the candidate’s unique skills and experience. The determination of a candidate’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits program.
As a Business Development Coordinator, your day-to-day includes:
Maintaining and updating our CRM
Responding to client inquiries by email and phone
Creating awareness and promoting interest in Gravity Union’s services
Working and collaborating directly with account managers
Following up on and qualifying leads
Executing various activities to deliver sales initiatives
Supporting lead generation for new business opportunities to grow our pipeline
Supporting pricing negotiations by following up with SMEs and team members to close
Understanding our domain, competitive differentiators, technical requirements, and what sets us above the rest
Maintaining and communicating accurate documentation of our sales activities
Assisting with proposals through developing and curating content and structure for responses as well as following up with consultants for technical specifications
Preparing sales reports and client presentations
Attending pre-qualification and post-proposal meetings
Preparing sales reports
Preparing presentation slides for client and internal presentations
Updating and maintaining internal document libraries and sales resources
Representing Gravity Union at industry events
Cultivating relationships with clients, partners, and advocates to drive long term growth and impact
Contributing to a high performance team culture that prioritizes results, collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering long-term value
Supporting internal organization initiatives
Other duties as relevant and required

Are you the one?
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or something similar (or equivalent meaningful experience)
2-4+ years of Sales or Business Development, preferably in a SaaS or consulting environment
Proven track record of successful sales attainment
Familiarity in supporting with sales proposals and contracts
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); experience with SharePoint and CRM systems such as Microsoft dynamics preferred but not necessary
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
You’re adaptable and able to go with the flow when things change
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
You follow through on your commitments and you’re a task master
You’re a curious person that loves to learn
You know how to have fun!
Icing on the cake
Working knowledge or experience within technical consulting or IT industries
Sales experience with Microsoft or other ecosystems
Supporting with RFPs
MS-900: Fundamentals certificate or additional Microsoft certifications
